- urTuner doesn’t need an account. We don’t ask for your name, email or any other personal details.
- The tuners use your microphone only after you press Start tuning and allow it in your browser. You can take back this permission at any time in your browser settings.
- Your microphone audio never leaves your device. All sound processing is done locally in your browser with the Web Audio API. No server-side processing is involved.
- We don’t record, store or have access to your audio. This is technically impossible, because the audio stays on your device.
- Your settings, such as the theme, your tunings and the reference pitch, are saved in your browser’s local storage, never on our servers. To remove them, clear the site data for urTuner in your browser.
- urTuner itself doesn’t set cookies. Our content delivery network, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to block harmful bots.
- We count visits with a privacy-friendly tool.
- Like every website, our hosting provider and Cloudflare handle basic technical data for each visit, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page you open. It is used only to deliver the site and keep it secure, and the logs are deleted after a short time. Cloudflare may handle this data outside your country, under approved safeguards.
- If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
- Links and share buttons lead to other websites, which have their own privacy policies. Nothing is sent to them unless you click.
- You can ask us what data we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
- We may change this privacy policy at any time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
